About me
Cheri Clavier, EdD, serves as Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation at East Tennessee State University, where she leads assessment initiatives and accreditation processes. She holds degrees in chemistry, education, and leadership from ETSU and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her background spans secondary education and pharmaceutical quality assurance, giving her a distinctive mix of scientific rigor and practical problem‑solving. As ETSU’s Accreditation Liaison, Dr. Clavier enjoys designing processes that turn data into action while making improvement work clearer (and occasionally even enjoyable!) for her colleagues. She serves on the Tennessee Accreditation Network steering committee and advises Bucs for St. Jude, a student organization that supports pediatric patients and their families. A lifelong East Tennessean, she is committed to expanding educational opportunity through collaboration, mentorship, and community engagement.
